    Description

OWEN CHINA Four 5-Piece place settings
    Made in 1927, Minerva, Ohio
    By OWEN CHINA
Marked with the knight's helmet crest
"Gold Medal St. Louis" seal to indicate
the win for semi porcelain at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis, MO in 1904
    (4) 5-piece settings: dinner plate (9'') salad plate (7'') bread plate (6'') cup and saucer (5.5'')
    Gold-Trim
Green, yellow, blue, and purple floral print.  Some of the first dishes to use pre-glaze artwork.
I have only found this pattern one time in one saucer selling for .
    Condition
: These dishes were well-loved for many years, definitely show signs of wear, but have held up well considering age and use.  All dishes will show some of the gold worn off. A couple of the dishes have a few tiny bubbles.  Some marks.  The tea cups are the most worn, some have discoloration at the bottom.  No chips except for tiny one on one tea cup.  I tried to show everything in the pictures.
*I do have some extra plates (of all four) if someone is interested in replacement pieces.  I have chosen the best four of each piece (except tea cups as there are only four left) to make this auction.
