    Description

    Up for bid are a pair of Lewmar 40 Self Tailing winches. These are 2 speed winches, and are in very nice shape. Please take a look at the high resolution pictures. These have been stored indoors since being removed. They appear to have just been cleaned and lubricated. As you would expect they turn wonderfully in both high and low gear. They are ready to install.  These are very powerful with a 40:1 Power ratio in the low gear!  Perfect for any number of applications on your sailboat. A huge upgrade over a non - self tailing winch!!!! Much safer to to use than a traditional winch, because it allows you to keep you hands off of the rope when it is under load on the drum! The list price on a new pair of Lewmar Winches like this is over ,880.00 - get them here for a fraction.  The winch is approx. 7 inches tall and the diameter of the base is approx. 5-3/4 inches across.
