Vintage Owens Signed Floral Pottery Vase . This piece measures approx 7 3/4 tall x 3 1/2 width.
Owens Pottery was founded by J. B. Owens in Roseville, Oh in 1885.  In 1891 it moved to Zanesville, OH where Owens built a new factory.  It began producing art pottery in 1896, when it introduced the Utopian line with botanical decorations under a brown glaze. The pottery ceased production in 1907. Therefore this piece is at least 102 years old and possibly 123 years old!
The pottery won awards and was often compared to the work of rivals like Rookwood Pottery, Roseville Pottery, and Wellers Pottery, all of which were also based in Ohio.
This beautiful piece of pottery is in excellent condition. It does show slight crazing.  Please see photos.  It is a signed piece and is stamped utopian.
