Description

Shaped like a long, reflexed bow, it was equipped with a lance point at one end. Despite its resemblance to a bow, it would be used as a lance in combat. Bow-lances were spiritual objects that either belonged to a warrior-society, or were made by individuals that, because of their visionary experiences, were instructed to do so. Traditional bow- lances were just Spears. This one can be used as a bow or a spear.
The spear portion is an emergency weapon like clubbing a musket, it can be used but excessive use will be detrimental to the bow Lance.
350 spine arrows were bare shaft tuned well with this bow at my draw length as 10 & 20 yards
Parchment backed, red oak, endless loop string shows wear on one tip but still 100% functional
This is 80”
Simple krylon green coat was over painted with a brown
Rough around the edges this was made as a prototype to test the concept. Look for updated versions in the future
