ONE (1), rare and unusual, antique, glazed earthenware pottery, PENCIL CUP OR TUMBLER,
entitled, “SOUVENIR OF SEATTLE” (Washington state) in dark ink
blue transferware with a mild flow blue effect.
Potted by BEARDMORE of Fenton , Staffordshire, England and imported by George Bowman to the USA. Scenes show the Seattle icons - the pioneer Square Totem Pole and Snoqualmie Water Falls.
There is some damage, so please read the condition report at top of listing.
Dark, ink Blue transferware - on a white clay body, with a mild flow blue appearance.
Circa early 1900s
SIZE - 3.75” tall by 3” diameter at rim, tapering.
Shown with a pear, a ruler, and a pen inside, for scale. Props not included.
Best used decoratively, for a pencil cup - not for liquids, as there is crazing.
